Crankcase emission test (Type 3)
Testing standard:
WLTP Type 3, VO (EU) 2017/1151
Product information
Testing of gas emissions from the crankcase as part of the Type 3 procedure on a roller test bench. The test is carried out to verify that unburned hydrocarbons (HC) do not enter the ambient air as intended.
The aim is to meet the requirements for sealing and recirculation of blow-by gases in vehicles with combustion engines.
Customer-specific adjustments are possible after consultation, e.g.:
- Variations in the test sequence or test specifications
- Adjustment of the test bench conditions
- Use of additional emission technology for extended measurement data acquisition
