Test for the practical evaluation of the protective effect of individually packaged products weighing up to 70 kg, as they are typically transported in parcels. The test sample is first climatically preconditioned and then subjected to atmospheric conditioning. This is followed by a series of drop tests, compression tests and randomized vibration tests - in some cases with and without a load and optionally under low air pressure to simulate air transport. A leak test is also provided for liquid products. The aim is to realistically assess the resilience of the packaging to typical transport and handling risks and to identify weak points at an early stage.
