Mechanical strength of tow hooks
Testing standard:
KR0013
Product information
Testing the mechanical strength of tow hooks. This test is used to assess the strength and functionality of tow hooks under defined tensile loads. The tests are carried out from different directions in order to simulate realistic operating conditions.
The aim is to determine the maximum tensile force that the component can withstand without plastic deformation, tearing, or failure. At the same time, the maximum deformation is recorded in order to rule out damage to adjacent components. Non-destructive testing methods such as magnetic particle crack testing or dye penetration testing can be used to evaluate possible damage in order to comprehensively ensure the operational safety of the tow hooks.
